This policy explains what EMBRIGGS collects when you use embriggs.com, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

When you ask for a quote, place an order, or open an account, we collect what we need to do the work and get it to you: your name, company, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, any purchase order number you give us, and the artwork or logo files you send. If you create an account we store a password, and we store it hashed, so nobody at EMBRIGGS can read it.
If you claim sales tax exemption, we collect the exemption certificate you upload and keep it on file, because Arizona requires us to be able to produce it.
Your order history stays with your record: quotes, orders, proofs, approvals, invoices and the messages exchanged about a job. That history is how we answer questions about work we did for you last year.
If you join our email list through the offer popup, we store the email address you gave and the discount code issued to it.
Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout. Your card number, expiry and security code go straight to Stripe and are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on EMBRIGGS systems. We receive only the outcome: whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference. Stripe's handling of your card data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
We run our own analytics on our own server. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tag, and nothing about your visit is sent to an advertising platform, because there is no third party involved at all.
We record which pages were viewed, which products were looked at, what was searched for and how many results came back, and whether a visit led to a cart or an order. Deliberately, we do not record:
A visitor is a random identifier from a first-party cookie, and we store only a hash of it, so these records cannot be turned back into a person. Administrative pages are excluded entirely. Analytics records are deleted automatically after 400 days.
We use cookies for three things and no others:
We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising. Blocking cookies will stop sign-in and the cart from working, but you can still browse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only where it is needed to run the business:
The chat window on this site is answered by an AI assistant, not by a person. It says so when it opens. When it cannot answer, or when you ask for a human, it hands the conversation to our team and tells you it has done so.
To produce a reply, the words you type are sent to a third-party large language model provider. That provider processes the message and returns an answer; we do not permit it to be used to train their models. What it is given is your message and the general facts about EMBRIGGS it needs to answer — our prices, our hours, how ordering works. It is not given your account, your orders, your artwork or anyone else's details, because the assistant has no access to those in the first place.
Please do not type card numbers, bank details or passwords into the chat. We will never ask for them there, and the assistant is instructed to tell you so if you offer them. Conversations are stored with us so that a member of staff can pick up where the assistant left off, and so we can see what people are asking.
Order, quote and invoice records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes, which in Arizona means several years. Artwork is kept so that a reorder does not mean sending the file again. Analytics records are deleted after 400 days. Email list subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy, and we will do it. Some records we are obliged to keep even after a deletion request, such as invoices needed for tax, and we will tell you if that applies. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects emails about an order you have placed.

The site runs over HTTPS throughout. Passwords are hashed. Access to customer records is restricted to named EMBRIGGS staff accounts. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
EMBRIGGS operates in the United States and our systems are hosted in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed here.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
